In a nutshell, Pentecostalism is a heresy that overemphasizes the Holy Spirit and external manifestations as evidence that one has been blessed by God. Although it is most prevalent among Protestant groups, Pentecostalism has been known to infiltrate some quarters of the Catholic Church.
